Looking for a recommended attorney
Hi all,
It is awkward to admit but I am having problems with a partner of mine and after he basically destroyed a deal, I am in need of a knowledgeable attorney -that you would recommend to your mother- in Houston, TX. What I need right now is draft a document to have him make monthly payments to me until he pays the 10500 I put into the deal. If that does not work I would need to go further into legal action. Do you know anyone? Thanks in advance!
Luis
Good luck, I will be monitoring this thread. I have had poor experience with RE attorneys in the area. Most were front men for other deals. None, in the end wanted to represent my interests. There is a dirth of RE attorneys and Tax people who are fluent in RE.

What you're proposing is a rather simple transactional document, and most attorneys are able to draft up this document. I would hesitate to give you the name, because you could easily find templates online that would be absolutely improper for your specific set of facts. If you need an attorney, you should ask your friends for a referral. Many states limit an attorney's ability to directly solicit an individual online.
Should you wish for an alternative method of finding an attorney, the Texas Bar maintains a Lawyer Referral Service with pre-vetted attorneys.
@Luis SalavarriaLookup an attorney through AVVO or ask local REIA members.
