Do I need a real estate attorney
My son and I are buying 3 multifamily apartments in Knoxville TN. We are paying cash. Do we need a real estate attorney to review the closing documents. We will have 3 days to review them before closing

Welcome to BP Jerry!
How is your experience in RE, I wouldn't need an attorney, you might be wise to do so, make sure you understand the title work. Also, obviously you're buying from an investor, I suggest you get an appraisal or a CMA opinion if you are not sure about the value, might be too late without penalty, but your cash deal doesn't have the buyer's protections that a financed deal would.
What you will get is a closing statement, should be easy to understand and you can call the closing agent to get explanations on the phone too, but title exceptions can be an issue, so have them explain those, there are standard exceptions, so don't fret. If you have more concerns, 30 minutes with your attorney wouldn't hurt. Good luck! :)
