In need of a real estate investing CPA
I currently work with a tax advisor and strategist but am looking for a CPA who can help around taxes. I currently am a W2 employee with 4 properties in my portfolio and looking to continue to purchase more. Need someone who can give advice and work with strategies for high earning W2 employees who also are moving into partnerships with a few LLC's. Right now the portfolio is based around residential but the future plan is to have residential and commercial so experience in both is preferred. If local in Charlotte, that would be a bonus.

There is no difference between a "tax strategist" (which is a self-assigned meaningless label) and a CPA, other than licensing. In fact, a number of CPAs call themselves tax strategists. To rephrase, a CPA is a license, and tax strategist is a job description.
If you need help preparing tax returns and getting tax advice, you're looking for an expert in real estate taxation. These people can have a CPA license, an EA (Enrolled Agent) license, or no license. It does not matter that much, what matters is their knowledge and experience.

High-earning W2 people cannot reduce their taxes with real estate investments, except sometimes with STRs (short-term rentals). More on this here: https://www.biggerpockets.com/forums/51/topics/841844-good-t...
