Need CPA Help

Jennifer Swenson
Posted

I'm struggling to find a CPA knowledge about cost segregation studies and using the STR loophole to offset W2 income. At this point, I have talked to several CPA's, some of which charged consult fees, and they have all been either unfamiliar with this strategy, or told me incorrect information. I don't think I need a local CPA since I am in a state that does not have state income taxes. How should I go about finding someone? Any recommendations? I didn't think this would be so hard.

Oh boy.

Welp.

I'm going to quote thumper on this one "if you can't say something nice, don't say nothing at all".

I would just reach out to @Michael Plaks above to see if he is accepting clients.

Unfortunately a lot of CPA's don't know how to handle short-term rentals correctly, at all. I'm confident Michael does though. I'd start there since he was kind enough to respond earlier.
