Real Estate Tax Pro Needed

Maggie Marcinko
Posted

My husband and I own two rental properties in the Columbus, OH area and our primary residence is in Peters Township, PA.  We would like to tap into the equity we have in the properties to invest in more properties…specifically ST rentals.  We need sound Tax advice to make sure we get the most out of the tax exemptions on the current properties and any new ones.  I think we’ve been leaving money on the table for YEARS since his dad, who retired from the Ohio State Auditors office, has been preparing our taxes.  Of course, he sees taxes through a collectors point-of-view rather than the investors lense.   Thanks in advance for any advice!

Welcome to BiggerPockets and thanks for the great first question!

You could try searching the site for a good CPA: simply type in "CPA" and filter by "members".

A few ones that I know of who post frequently to this forum are @Daniel Hyman and @Nicholas Aiola, among others!
