Hello BP,

We are in need of a great Real Estate Attorney that is well suited to handle a development project we are kicking of in Pittsburgh.  Does anyone have any recommendations?  We are looking for a firm that would be a one stop shop for us that can handle everything from filing appeals if needed to partnership agreement structure.

Thanks

@Craig Clark Craig you will do well by knowing and keeping straight that no matter how experienced a real estate attorney is he/she should focus on LEGAL points.

The Developer should make the decisions on the DEAL points.

Deal points are issues like density, value, cost and market realities and their effects and impacts on determining the highest and best use of your land.

Unless your land use attorney is also an experienced developer, you might want to hear their opinions on Deal points but take them for what they are worth.

EXACTLY  and land use attorneys are very specialized but worth their weight in gold if your in a very difficult complicated land use/highly regulated  City/County.  And there are consultants that do a nice job at this that are not attorneys we use them in Portland OR which can be a nightmare going through all their complicated zoning laws and rules as they are constantly changing.

when I go some place new I also hirer a good civil who does development work to do my pre lim  due diligence on zoning and what can be built that's money well spent.. but your absolutely correct as for financials and P and L no one does that but us right ?  Its not their job or generally their expertise.
