Augusta Rule - Tax Savings Secret
Today I discovered the Augusta Rule. This is how it works: If you're a business owner and you use your home to host business clients or business meetings, you can charge your business for the use of your personal home for up to 14 days per year. So your business can write off the rent as a business expense. But the beauty of it is that you don't have to report the rental income on your personal tax return. Are there any CPA's out there that can elaborate on this? I'm amazed this isn't more widely known about.
