Looking into partnering

I currently found a property I’m looking into. It has a 2 bed 2 bath duplex and a 3 bed/1 bath home on the property. I’m wanting to go in on it with my partner, but I’m not sure how to structure it with this deal. I’m wondering if we should go half and half and split profits every month or is there a better way for this?
