Post: Complaints over tree roots

A neighbor of a recently purchased property is complaining about my tree. First it was the tree limbs, that are not touching or close to touching the neighbor’s home, and now it is the roots. The neighbor is stating that my tree roots are invading their sewage pipes. If this is true, who is at fault? What steps should I take first?

I currently found a property I’m looking into. It has a 2 bed 2 bath duplex and a 3 bed/1 bath home on the property. I’m wanting to go in on it with my partner, but I’m not sure how to structure it with this deal. I’m wondering if we should go half and half and split profits every month or is there a better way for this?

@Scott Wolf while this would be great, he’s wanting to keep them for inheritance for his family! Thanks for the advice though! I will definitely think about this for future reference

I have found someone who would like to be a private partner, while he has rentals of his own, but is wanting to quit doing the work on them because of his age. This would be great, I’m just wondering what the NEXT step should be for me? How do I divide up the partnership and the numbers between us?

I have recently purchased my first property, which I currently live in and plan to rent out within a year. Plans have changed a little, for the better, and my girlfriend is moving in and we will be renting out her house now, still with the intent to rent out mine in 2022. My question is, what is the most important thing we need to look for when starting this process? We want our first property rented out within the next month. Any pointers you can give would be greatly appreciated!

@Salvatore Lentini I recently bought my first home, currently living in. I’m in college full time for nursing and graduate in May, but with that being said, as of now, I feel I don’t have enough income to be approved. The one thing holding me back is, how do I find innovative ways to come up with the down payments or get approved?

I have purchased my first home, which I plan to live in for my first year and then rent out, but I’d like to start looking for my next rental to purchase. I’m just having trouble understanding just how to use my equity in this home to purchase my next home. Some of the questions I find myself asking are: Are there requirements on how much equity you must have to use it or can I use any equity I have as collateral? Also, what would be my first steps in trying to use my equity? I’ve been trying to understand the whole process more, but I just can’t seem to find a definite answer.

I’m about to move out of my parents house and into my first home that I purchased at 23. One of my friends is struggling in his parents house and would like to move in with me to split the costs for both of us. Would this be a bad idea? It’d help us both financially, but does anyone have any experience with this or recommendations?
