Anyone invest in BRRRR in Rockford, IL?

My husband and I are looking to start renting out properties in Rockford, IL.

We are looking for an investor that would be willing to help us get going.

If anyone has any advice to help us, since we are still inexperienced. Any would be appreciated!

Our experience:

I've been helping my grandmother manage her properties for the last 3 years and have learned quite a bit.

We're currently finishing up our 5 year business plan and would be happy to provide to any interested party. (the forum on business planning is helping with the remaining details needed.)

Hi @Brittany Mainiero, there are several of us in the WIN group (Winnebago Investor Network) that use the BRRRR strategy.

The higher cash flow areas of Rockford are tougher to manage and have little appreciation. Most in our group invest in NE Rockford, Loves Park, and Machesney Park. It is tougher to find good deals in these areas but the demand for rentals is high.

The WIN group meets on the first Monday of the month but this month it will be 9/9 because of the holiday. We discuss different topics over dinner at Sams Ristorante on E Riverside in Rockford starting at 6pm. It would be great to have you and your husband visit.

Let me know if you have any specific questions I can help with, area related or the meetup.

Craig
