Freddie Mac invested mortgage - move to LLC?

I purchased a rental two years ago with a conventional loan. It is currently serviced by Wells Fargo and funded by Freddie Mac. Trying to move it in to my LLC but Wells Fargo is telling me Freddie Mac won't allow this. Couple questions, all opinions and guidance welcome:

1. Is this true? No reason not to trust WF, but they were very vague in the answer to this question.

2. What options are there?

3. Is it worth it? I'm trying to centralize all of my real estate dealings under this company, but is it worth the cost of the answer to question #2 to do so?

Thanks in advance for any insight you can share.

1. yeah you can't do that. its your loan, in your name and they don't want you to transfer ownership in the middle of your agreed contract

2. you can go around them and quit claim deed it into the LLC. though the usefulness of this is questionable. They may also be displeased with you (some argue they will never find out)

3. it's probably not worth it, but my opinion is that the only reason to do this (asset protection) is grossly overrated.
