I bought a property using seller financing

Joel Barjon
Posted

Hey everyone,

I bought a property last year using seller financing. Should the seller send me a 1098 mortgage interest statement? If yes, and in case he said no he will not send it, what should I do? Thanks,

Joel Barjon

Approach them now about doing it, provide them the proper forms, and instructions on how to do it.  It takes little time to do it, so I always just filled out the form()s) ahead of time for them, and then just brought it to them to sign.
