Owner Financing 101, so I can understand the Dodd Frank threads

I have been reading the many Dodd Frank threads here on BP. Opinions seem to vary dramatically about the impact it will have. I have an interest in owner financing, etc. so I am eager to understand the new regulations. However, I have no experience in this area. I have searched quite a bit here on BP, in an attempt to learn the basics. However, most of what I find are more advanced conversations about the recent changes to the law. I need a guide on the basics. This may not make sense but I need a guide to give me a breakdown of all the things I don’t know. I still won’t know those things but at least I will know what I don’t know. The most successful business man I’ve worked with is a master of knowing what he doesn’t know. Then he finds experts on the topic, pays them for their time and gets busy building his latest idea. With this in mind, is there a book, website, etc. that you would recommend as a place to start.
