Personal Loans for home improvement

Has anyone used a personal loan from a bank to get some home improvements done? Any idea on interest rate or how much you’d be able to get?

Looking to do new carpets in 4 bedrooms, kitchen countertops, and new appliances.

Thanks in advance.

@Reden Dionisio thanks for posting.  Always great to hear from a fellow Texan.  Sorry I missed this post previously but a couple of suggestions here:

    1. If the rehab is big enough then Home Depot or Lowes will give you a loan for it.  Most of the time it's 6 months no interest.

    2. There are also renovation loans for primary homes and investment properties (couldn't tell which one you were looking for) that most lenders have access to.

    3. And then there's the Line of Credit option.  This is a little more challenging to get here in Texas than other states but it is possible.

Anyways, hope some of these help in some way.
