First Buy and Hold - Loan Help
Just moved to Park City, UT. My fella and I bought our first place, a townhome, 8 months ago. We want to buy a neighboring place to keep as a vacation rental or long term rental. It’s $380k.
To my surprise, our real estate agent offered to partner with me, 50/50. So we are refinancing our home to get my name off the current loan, so I can buy the second place under my name (+realtor). I have the cash for my portion of the down payment, but the problem is: I don’t have a real job. I babysit and do other odd jobs for cash so there’s no way I’ll get a loan.
Should I apply for a full-time job, just for the sake of getting a loan? Should I try asking for private money? I can’t imagine asking anyone to loan me money... the nerve! Anyway, suggestions are welcomed 🙏
