Length of Seasoning Period — what accounts for differences?
Hello, as I have been researching BRRRR, it seems like the average seasoning period is 6 months. Some sources attribute this to FannieMae and FreddieMac.
I’ve also seen posts mentioning lenders that have seasoning periods of less than 6 months (i.e. 3 months or even no seasoning period). If that’s true, what does that mean? Are those likely to be portfolio lenders?
Thanks!
