If I buy a home with an FHA loan and will be spending more time away can I Air BNB the property for the times I am away during that first year?!

As long as you're sleeping there 6 months and a day of that first year, and that sleeping includes the 12th month, you're good to go. That's the most common interpretation, if you want solid legal advice you should of course go give money to a lawyer.
