From one Spouse to another
I'm looking to transfer a property from my wife to myself. I would love to be able to cash her out in the process. The problem we are running into is, the cost in going the convention route. The fees are from 10 to 15k. This in conjunction with the DTI ratio brings the cashout amount lower than I'd like.
I'm unfamiliar with the "subject to" process. Could this possibly be a cheaper route. I understand that there may not be a cashout in taking this route if this is even possible.
Is there another avenue that could get us to our goal, or closer to our goal? The goal is to transfer ownership and pay out 35k of 70k of equity.
