For those with heads in the sand on bank problems------
J-Scott

p://www.calculatorplus.com/savings/advice_failed_banks.htmltt How bad does it need to get before it becomes a concern

2008- 25 banks failed
2009- 115 so far thru 10-31(20 in Oct, total should be 135 for 09.
This includes 6th and 11th largest banks. This is a five fold increase. At same rate 2010 would have ??????

In a previous post, someone said to use the post on banks in trouble to find banks that might sell REO's quickly to save their arses. Anyone doing that? Rich in FL.

p.s. Whose bank is closing this week?

Rich,

Thats capitalism. Only the strong survive. If a bank maladminister they must die. The way of this world.

Its in Germany the same, only the Hypo Real Estate Bank is sponsored by the country here (with $25 billions).

I don´t know your bank balance (and I do not want this), but I think you can open your own bank Rich with the right money. And your money is secured then.
