Good afternoon BP! Let me introduce myself once again. My name is Carlos and I'm currently taking courses for my real estate license and learning the real estate industry. I'm still unfamiliar with many things on this industry.. I'm willing to learn and joined BP for that reason. With that said my planned to hopefully purchase a duplex/ triplex and rent it out. Now for my question.. I wanted to put 3.5%- 6% down. A max purchase of $350,000. Here in Central New Jersey. I was going to obviously get a private loan from the bank for the difference. I was wondering is it worth paying points on a rental investment property? If so what percentage would you put down? Any calculators you'd recommend me using? And any additional information and examples would be great!! Thank you again for your help and guidance!
