Hi BP community!  I reached out to a supposed private lender from a marketing campaign I came across via FreedomSoft.  I googled the name and it lead me to an investor from TX, cool.  All the profiles I read of this person leads me to believe that the individual is caucasian, no problem because ethnicity is never a deciding factor when doing business.  The only reason I bring this up is because when I finally talked to this person, he sounds of Asian descent.  Not to profile anyone, but this alarmed me especially when I expected to be talking to a person with English as the first language.

I need help because I am concerned that a hardworking investor's identity may be compromised and someone may be taking advantage of NEWBIE investor's, like myself, who are eager to build a business. I will not advertise the name yet, I need advice from the community on how I can validate this supposed-lender and if I should put the name out there to alert the actual person; granted my concerns are valid.

The person in question is not part of the BP community, I looked, but I was hoping that someone knows this person and may be able to assist me with this probable issue or at least alleviate my concerns and validate that this supposed private lender is legitimate.  Any advice and/or recommendations is appreciated and thank you all in advance!

Have a fine and blessed day BP!

Replied

rule of thumb.

Scammers universally :

Bad English

rates too good to be true

small up front fee's

there is the short con and the long con

short is to get 200 to 500 out of you

long is to suck you into even more fee's with promises that the deal will get done.

I have removed my E mail form BP because I was getting almost 1 a day from these folks .

even when I told them point blank I think they are fruads I get another e mail from them asking if I still need money  LOL.

learn what rates are FOR REAL then decide.

there are NO super low rates for beginners .. there are only low rates for well qualified folks using fannie freedy type loans.

Or very very expreinced business folks who have local banking contacts.. NO one ( I can't say no one) but very few that have to post on social media type sites are going to give you some deal of the century that you think you just found

Adds are like this.

Loans  50K to 5 million....

Low fico

High LTV

No expiernce

rates starting at 3.5%  etc etc

No prepay and or I have seen some that say you can skip 18 months of payments.

Long repay terms.

etc etc... I am
