Best HELOC rates in TX?

Hello BP, I'm looking for the best HELOC lenders near Dallas Texas. I see PenFed and Capital one with around 3.8%apr from Bankrate.com. Do you know any better deals or better way to find lenders? Thank!

Yes I've seen lower rates with local credit unions and 0% teaser rates but it will usually vary based on credit score. The rates you see online on sites like those are usually not the best rates obtainable for HELOCs or for credit cards.

Wow 0% I have not seen that yet. I just did a quick google of my 'city local credit union' and saw their rates online, it's ranging around 4.25%. Perhaps I can try the yellow pages?

@Dona Lontok

Yes inquire with local banks and credit unions. Military-affiliated banks and credit unions will also typically have good rates.

@Jassem A. I would look at Frost. They had rates around 3.75%.
