Dear BP, one of the reasons I love this site is because there are so many people on BP that has so much knowledge about real-estate and investments among other things. So my latest issue is this. I tried refinancing a rate/term private loan on one of my investment home and was told that because I did not own the home I lived in the company could not finance the deal. That there was a new guideline out there. Now I havent heard of anything, the home my husband and I live in is owned solely by my husband, and I have an apartment that I rent 5 hours away from home as I work out of town and cannot travel every day. I have lived in my husbands home for 9 years. I brought my last home while living there and declared that i had no financial responsibility to the home and it was verified that I was not on the deed nor title. My husband owned this home before we were married. Can someone help me with the issue that because I live in a rented apartment 5 days per week I cannot refinance my investment property. Any information you can provide would be helpful. Thanks.
