Looking to lending my money

Patrick Sullivan
Posted

I have a small about of money I'm thinking of loaning a couple realestae investors that I've had past dealing with. I have a couple questions for those of you that are hard money lenders or similar types.

How do you vet potential clients and their investments?

How do you calulate current intrest rates?

How do you structure and create contracts?

Thnak you all for your time.

@Patrick Sullivan

I would be wary of lending small amounts of money. Typically people looking for lesser amounts or less experienced. In order to vet them do you want to check if their LLC is valid, do a background check on them, ask them for references from other people they have gotten money from, and list of deals they have done

Regarding what interest rate to charge, that is completely up to you. You absolutely want to get an attorney involved to make sure they create all documents. As part of any document package make sure that includes a confession of judgment and a personal guarantee from the Borrower
