Experiences House Hacking Seattle in 2021?

Hey y'all,

As of late, I've been weighing my options for a house hack in a major tech hub (i.e., house hacking to balance career and ROI). Seeing as Seattle is a major tech hub, I'm interested in house hacking the city. Have any of you recently invested in a house hack? What was your strategy? What were the major roadblocks? Just looking to understand the feasibility of it. Happy to hear about any of your experiences this year!

Thanks!

Unit house hacks are still feasible! There are some great options if you know what you're looking for and always keeping your eyes on the market.

Once we moved out of the rent by the room house hack it wasnt as profitable but we knew that it was going to happen eventually. Rents dipped a little but we have tenants that rent by the group. Young professionals usually.

Our unit rentals were already units when we bought the houses.

Best source to find good estimates are from the network of other investors. WAREI facebook page is a good source too(and its searchable).
