Hi just starting out. Looking to see if anyone has any suggestions on any good banks in the Pittsburgh pa area that are good for real-estate investors. Especially new investors with not much experience. Not trying to house hack so fha may not work. Strictly investment properties. Wanting to know for loaning purposes, refi purposes, and just general banking. Thanks everybody

Hi Tarrell,

Great question. I use Clearview Federal Credit Union for my rental. They are highly rated and I have enjoyed my experience so far.

In listening to the podcast and reading some other BP literature, a good rule of thumb is to use a local bank or credit union if investing in property less than $1 million (like CFCU) and the bigger regional/national banks for more expensive or larger commercial properties. For my future investments, I will be exploring some of their other loan options (e.g. if they can wrap a reno loan into a conventional mortgage--similar to a 203k loan) in the coming months. I will let you know how it goes.

Good luck!
