Investing Newb- finding a deal

Robin Morales
Posted

Hey BP,

I’m in the market to purchase my first home. I’m looking in the upland, ca or Rancho Cucamonga, area. All of the homes on Zillow or Redfin will not get me a good deal. It’s expensive now. however, I’m curious to know where the pros look for deals. Where is the best place to find a deal? I’ve heard of calling on vacant homes. How do I find vacant homes? Any tips help. Thanks !

Hey Robin, there are plenty of decent deals to be found on the market (MLS). Are you looking for a place you're going to be spending a few years in? Is this a house hack? What is your overall strategy? For your first home, it might make sense to go the standard route. Have you thought about ADUs at all? There are deals out there that can help you househack your way to freedom! Would love to chat with you more about this.
