Should I house hack my new construction home?

The plan is to rent out the other bedroom in my 2/1.5 new construction home for the time being, refinance, and invest in another property. Are there any books or specific podcast episodes I should check out? I have already purchased "The House Hacking Strategy" off the BP bookstore.

This is my first post on BP, and I realize this might be very vague (and possibly a bad idea), but I would love to hear some feedback, tips, or suggestions!
