Keeping a good relationship with a contractor

So you I have picked a contractor to start work on your vacant unit. What are some ways to show that you are happy to have them doing work and you are thinking about them?

One thing that I've tried is stocking my fridge with Gatorade, water and some snacks. Should I try buying lunch for them sometime when I know they will be at the unit, like ordering Pizza?

Has anyone else tried this or something beyond?

Another thing I've meant to do is sending gift cards at the end of the year as a small token of thank you and to also keep in touch. Would you recommend this?

What are some things that you have you done to leave a lasting impression?
