Keep brand new home for long or short term rental

I am building a brand new 1500 sq.ft. 3-2 home that i am intending to sell.

Has anyone here ever built new to rent? It is a well built home and since i hate fixing old krap i am fine keeping it as i feel it would be some time before i have significant repairs.

Do renters tend to treat new homes better?

Anyone experience with this?
