It’s been a few years since anything in this area has come across the BP forums. Whose investing in the area? I’m looking to network with any kind of real estate investors in the area!

@Paul Bermingham thank you for the reply, Paul.

I will be married receiving BAH. My thoughts are to use the VA loan for personal residence, wife doesn't seem to like the house hack method. May be able to get her on board, finding a duplex would be great utilizing a VA loan. The BAH would cover primary residence and looks like I will be able to pocket extra. Looking for houses in the 50-120k range. BAH is $1400. For rental properties, I thought about using the BRRR strategy to buy with hard money. Will have 10k saved, I'm also able to save $1000 a month that can be applied.
