Level of Permits - Can some tell me whats it call for light work
Im here in City of Atlanta and I have a house that need a full Kitchen, light electrical (cut wires in 2 room, install light cans, wall fix/holes, ceilings re-installed, full bathroom. I was told I could put in for a permit. Does anyone know the name of that permit?? I was told I "don't " need full building permit in Atlanta. Thank you for any help!

I'm not sure for City of Atlanta specifically, but those are usually covered under "no plan permits" or "replacement in kind" permits. Replacement in kind would be for bathroom remodel where you don't move anything around just replace the fixtures ect, and for the drywall replacement ect. The light would be a no plan permit, where the electrician would submit the circuit record card, which allows the City to determine that the modifications are still within the allowable loads and specs for the lights being changed.
Hopefully that helps you find what you need for Atlanta.
