Have Any Of You Been Taken On “A Ride” Through BiggerPockets?

BiggerPockets has a huge following and is very well known throughout the investing landscape. With so many people looking to invest so much money overall it seems like it would attract its far share of shady individuals looking to take advantage of people. I know most are genuine and honest people looking to better themselves but there are always those that want to take a short cut and don’t care who or how many people they hurt along the way.

My question is have you personally ever ran across this and what is your story?

Fortunately no. I'm very slow to go into business with people. I get to know them and watch them do deals from the side. Learn about their business by looking for results. Do they admit when they make mistakes (we all do) and how do they move forward? How do they talk about others?

I find others who have done business with them and ask how it's gone. Take the good and the bad with grains of salt and make up your own mind. Many people like to do background and credit checks as well.

I'm sure it's happened though. BP is a big place.
