Super Hot deal in the Austin/San Antonio area

OK, here's the deal, I'm am responsible for auctioning off all the goods of a deceased owner, family had him declared dead! House isn't much, but there's good furniishings to go with it. SINCE I'M THE AUCTIONEER I CAN'T BID!

It's actually a "HOBBIT HOUSE". No! really the owner was a HOBBIT as in the books and movies.

Now that I have your attention (I've been pulling your leg) the Hill Country Community Theatre in Marble Falls TX is doing the musical, "The Hobbit". It is funny as heck and shows off the talents of some of our local kids (and a few parents).

Since my wife and I are both in it we get some "comp" tickets and we can always buy at discounts. Anyone in central TX or even in Houston or the Metroplex come on up. Just a sampling of some of the talent involved in this play:

IIRC three of the Moms have done movies, one was in a Sandra Bullock movie.

One of the Moms has done set work for Robert Rodriguez (as in "Spy Kids", "Once Upon A Time In Mexico", and "Desperado". Robert Rodriguez lives a couple of miles down the road.

One of the kid's Dad is a session musician who often works for Willy Nelson.

One of the adults, besides doing some TV work is a graduate of the Ringling Brothers, Barnum and Bailey Clown College.

A couple of the kids have been extras in movies. Lots of movies are shot in Austin and the Hill Country.

Anyway, doing this stuff is as much fun as REI (although the pay isn't as good) and if you want to learn some "rehab" skills, building sets is a good way to do it.

Doing rehearsals has definitely cut into my time on this and other sites.
