Ok.  I'm reading Craig Curelop's house hacking strategy book (just started).  I know I will be using at least two hacks but I am curious about other Investor's hacking stories.

@Kevin Paglia, that's a great book choice! I'm currently in the process of buying a house hack in Denver, CO. My experience at the moment has taught me that there are ways to finance at a lower interest rate and get rid of PMI at closing, thus increasing cash flow. Working on seeing if I can get the seller to pay the costs of doing so at closing to leave me with $300 cash flow while living in the SF home with 3 roommates, then when I move out the cash flow will be about $600.

    Good luck on your journey!
