Should I do a 12 Month Lease in December?

Renting out my first SFH in South Texas that we just closed on a couple weeks ago. Would like to get opinions on if we should list it for a 12 month lease starting in November/December or do a 6 month lease so the renewal will fall in the summer months.

@Kevin Sobilo that is very helpful, I’ll talk to my partner about structuring that way and check to see if Texas laws dictate interest for longer leases just for future reference. Thank you!
