Anyone have the title search done on your own to save money?how does that work? is it just info I need , and not necessary to close.

As J Scott said you can do your own searches. The ability to do a title search can be a valuable skill for a creative real estate investor.

However I would never do one for one of my own deals for the reasons J Scott mentioned. An important concept to understand is the value of your time. As an investor you time is best spend finding and negotiating deals. Doing mundane work like title searching to save money is a poor use of your time.
