LLC affecting Liability Insurance Premiums

I have read some of the many post on this topic, and from what I can work out LLC's offer protection if they are treated and run as a proper business, and not just an easy form of protection against negligence. If that is the case, why don't insurers take them into account when calculating premiums. According to my insurer, that is because liability is only a small part of the risk for carriers. While it may be true the risk is infrequent, the cover amount is often in multiples of $1m, so they obviously consider the risk large. One poster suggested that landlord insurance doesn't cover you for many of the issues tenants typically sue for. Anyone with first hand experience with insurance premiums affected by LLCs?
