Purchasing from auction.com

Does anyone have any specific advice or experience for purchasing bank owned and foreclosure properties from auction.com? If so, can you please share? I am new to investing and looking for opportunities to invest out of state.

I noticed that some of the properties are occupied and tenants will need to be evicted after purchasing the property. It also seems like a huge risk and gamble to invest in a property without doing an inspection, but it may pay off big. Are there additional means to take to assess the property condition before purchasing? Any advice on auction purchasing is appreciated.
