Purchasing Carpet For A Flip

I’m an investor in Atlanta, Ga. Trying to figure out if purchasing carpet almost two hours away (Dalton, etc) is worth it in the long run?

Are the discounts and shipping fees worth the drive?

Are you personally planning to go pick out the carpet? If so, how much is your time worth? Is it worth driving the 2 hours each way to look at carpet?

Also, will the same company be doing install? (If so, they will probably charge you extra to bring installers out that far).

Honestly, unless you are doing something crazy like 5,000 sq feet of it you probably won't save much. Especially after shipping/delivery. Plus if there are issues, the company that is 2 hours away is probably not going to be very willing to come back and check up on anything.

Don't over think it. Just push the easy button, buy from home depot or a local place with good reviews and decent prices that's close. If there is any issue, they are close and can come check it out.
