Appraisals and Home Inspectors

Hi I am currently looking at investing in REO's and I would like to know where i can get a reasonable appraisal from. I don't have the world of cash for a full appraisal. I would like to know of any tips that you can give me for working with an appraiser to do a few appraisals ( like 1 or 2 ) fore free. I already have buyers lined up for the homes I plan to contract on. Also, if you can help give the same advice for home inspectors that would be great. Thanks for all your help in advance

Yours in Success

Do you know the market area? You may be able to talk to a real estate agent familiar with the area that can pull recent sales similar to the property.

You can also go online and get some comparable sales, but you want to know the area well enough that you are pulling truly comparable properties.

If you need to arrange financing an appraisal will be required and you probably won't be able to choose the appraiser.
