What is your best story that has happened in you investing career? I have had many!

My most fun experience was the 1st house that I bought had a new tenant move on that was taking care of her niece and nephew. The Dad of the kids was in jail and the mom had passed away. She was a great tenant, but one day I get a call from the police saying they have my tenant with them and would like me to talk with her. She tells me that she no longer can live at the house and that I can keep her deposit. She can't tell me where she is going and is erasing all her contact information. She then told me that her Brother in law got out of jail and found her to get his kids. She refused to let him in so he tried to burn the house down and kick in the door! Luckily for me there was little damage and the guy was not a good pyro. He damaged the door and scorched the lawn. She left behind some furniture and belongings and her car that was smashed in with a baseball bat with slashed tires.

I thought of this because recently was looking at a property to purchase that had a tenant commit suicide. He laid there and no one found him until a month later, when a tenant called the management and said something in the building stinks. They came and searched and found nothing. Then more tenants started to call, so they came back with the police and opened all the units to search. They finally went into that tenants unit and found him exploded open. The sheriff then came with 2 inmates to clean up and remove the body. The oddest part was that the blood dripped down to the unit below. The guy in the unit below was blind, so he was walking in the blood everyday.
