Hi Everyone! I recently moved to Bean Town and looking to connect with similar minded folks. I currently work in commercial real estate for a large developer, but have a strong desire to put together rock-solid deals in the single family/multi-family space, utilizing BRRRR and/or flipping. Feel free to introduce yourself on the forum or send me a direct message. Looking forward to connecting and getting to meet some of you. Cheers!

Tucker, there are many REI groups in Massachusetts, some specifically for beginners. A couple of pointers:

  • Some groups are simply meet n greets and some have presentations on topics
  • Some groups are focused on selling products and bootcamps
  • There is a list of local events here on BP under Community>Networking Events.  this list will change as organizers post their events
  • Meetup.com is the best place to find local events.  You can search by keyword, such as real estate, and zip code
  • Do not assume that any particular group covers the area around their meeting location.  Meeting locations are chosen for various reasons, but a group doesn't automatically focus on that specific location.  So a group that has good networking and interesting topics but is a hour or more away may be a good choice if you meet the people you need to connect with
  • Once you have located a few groups that you like, get on their email list or meetup notifications so that you can attend events that interest you.
  • You are welcome at our Black Diamond events, URL in my profile

Good luck!
