Hello BP.

I am wondering if getting licensed as a realtor is a good idea while trying to start my investing portfolio. Also, does anyone have any insight on how you guys buy and sell with out it. Thanks

How many great real estate investors are real estate agents?   A small portion. I disagree with that.

One does not require or even reinforce the other. - agree that one does not require the other, however . . .

I disagree that having a license as a real estate investor does not add benefits to the investor.

I believe having thevlicense opens up many doors for a good RE investor and I highly recommend any investor get licensed. In fact, many states are cracking down on wholesaling and as such holding a license is the only legal way in some states. It provides you direct access to your local MLS, allows you onearn commissions on acquisitions and dispositions, ability to earn legal referral fees from other agents, and much more.
