I am new to real estate investing and was thinking about getting my real estate licences but everyone I speak with is telling me that it's not a good idea for an investor to get a real estate licences because as a landlord your tenants  will be able to use you having your license against you when trouble arises. Can anyone out there shed some light on this for me? Thanks

If you follow your landlording rules and run your business with integrity I can't imagine how they could use it against you. I'd ask them how it can be used against you, I'm honestly drawing a blank. There is a governing body you potentially would have to answer to that will hold you to a higher standard, but that shouldn't be an issue unless you're doing something sketchy.
