Bird Dogs Vs. Wholesalers?

Hi all! I understand completely (I think lol) how wholesalers work... I am just confused on Bird Dogs? And whats the difference?

I have been asked if I thought about starting to bird dog for someone and just need the help on exactly how it works.

Can someone please explain?
