Well, they rented my house, too bad I didnt rent it to them! eventful day!

Wonderful day.. HA!, Have a property not quite rent ready, looks pretty good inside, new paint, counters, new bathroom ect, but the house still has alot of problems, the 2 bedrooms, bath and living room need to be rewired, as its knob and tube wiring, and the gas lines are needing replaced, as well as some serious plumbing work underneth (pier and beam), probablly $10,000 away from rent ready if i contracted it, and I've just been sitting on it until I can finish the work, been too cold lately and I've been busy. Its been vacant for a few months, and will continue to be. Well, today i was in the area picking up rent, and boom theres someone in the drive way of MY HOUSE, with there truck and belongings out front, just glad i caught them before they moved all the way in!.
So, of course I freak out, park, run inside the house with the closest thing i could find, a hammer, and start freaking out on them. They tell me they just rented it this morning and paid the owner and he'd be back in a bit to change the locks and repair the window, too bad I was the owner!

Said the guy told them the power was off, and he'd leave it unlocked and change the locks later today. Oh and the busted window he probablly climbed through, ya he said the neighbors kids threw a ball through it, but it would be replaced when the locked were switched. Well there went there $500 they gave him... Makes me feel kinda bad too, Didnt really know what to do. They didnt believe I was the owner, ran there mouths alittle about me being in "there house" and ended up having to have them tresspassed. Man oh man, then I had to snake another rentals drains, probablly one of the most eventful days in my short rental history. Anyone else had someone rent on of there units to someone? crazy. I need a beer!
