Investing in Florida - Airbnb

Hi,

I am interested in buying a property in Florida that I could rent out on Airbnb. Since condos seem to be a problem, I was thinking of buying a house under 200k. I was looking at Boynton Beach, Pompano Beach, Fort Lauderdale etc.

Which area relatively close to Miami would you suggest? Are there any legal problems for short term leasing (Airbnb)?

I currently live in LA so I won't be physically present, but I rented already before on Airbnb for a year being far away from the place so that's not an issue.

Thanks a lot!!

You stated: "I was looking at Boynton Beach, Pompano Beach, Fort Lauderdale etc. Which area relatively close to Miami would you suggest?"  My first suggestion is for you to really get acquainted with south Florida!  Here is a good start:  https://www.google.com/maps/@27.698638,-83.804601,... 'BOOKMARK' this on your computer.

There is an old Spanish saying ""Only the owner of the horse will make the horse fat" ... with this in mind why would you invest in FL and not near you in Ca?
