Probate Laws - Hillsborough County Florida
My neighbor recently passed and her relatives are trying to get the deed to her house so that they can sell it to me as an investment property. They are listed in the will and the will is not being contested. They have the original will and the notorized death certificate. When they went to the courthouse in @Hillsborough County, FL in @Tampa, FL and @Brandon, FL location they were unable to get the deed transfered. Does anyone know if this a @probate issue where an attorney would need to be involved or can it be handled directly with the county? Any advice is appreciated.

I don't know if @Mark Pedroza answered to original poster's question but he nailed the probate issue on the head. Anytime a post begins with something like "I don't know anything about probate but I have a question..." Mark's post should pop up be required reading in order to post that question.
The last line "Think of probate as a title problem...." is critically important to understand.
