Hey BP! Some of you may have seen some of my post recently but I am looking for a market or two to invest in with my initial $15K. I have a family member in Blue Island who has rental properties and it has gone quite well for him. Would like to hear from any of you out that way which markets out near Blue Island are good and cash flowing. Thank you BP!

@Jorge Ruiz , the suburbs of Chicago are vast and varied - you can be in an awesome neighborhood, then walk a block away and be in a war zone.

Blue Island isn't the worst place in the world to live, but it most certainly is NOT on anyone's Top 10 Best, either.

There is a lot of money to be made in the Chicago area, but you definitely want to go drive the streets before you drop some money there.

Connect with an agent, fly out and take a long weekend to really check out the area. I'd limit myself to one or two cities total in a weekend.
